So, we’re in the country. I actually don’t have much time to write this post. Mostly because the battery on my Mac is running out FAST and, if I go upstairs to grab my plug, I KNOW I’ll wake up the Rascal, and then it’s ALL over. And, I’m super comfy here on this country couch…. It’d take a lo-ho-hot for me to get up off it…. Anyway, WOW, I babble.
Okay, so we’re in the country. We’ve been here for a week. It’s our last night here, and Josh-O and I decided FINALLY to whip out the telescope and get outside with it….
I whipped on my long black Lulus and my black hoodie — I was NOT going to get BIT by those obnoxiously buzzing mosquitos — and out we went with the telescope.
It was awesome. So geeky. So romantically geeky!
Anyway, while Josh fumbled to find Venus, I stared at the sky. And, wow. It was like a black sparkly blanket…. While I stared, I saw two magnificent MOON BEAMS! Shooting stars with a trail of SPARKLES. And, you know I LOVE sparkles!!! I actually asked Josh if it was possible that what I was seeing were fireworks. No. Fireworks don’t shoot across the sky….
Then, frustrated, I grabbed the telescope from Josh-the-fumbler and found her. Venus….

Unspeakably gorj…. I mean, it was just a little white orb in the sky. But, amazing to see it! VENUS! I was looking with MINE OWN EYES at a planet. EXISTENTIAL, dude!!!
Then, it was moon time. I’d never seen the moon through a telescope before. And, Gorgeouses? If you’ve never seen the moon through a telescope before, CHEATY HIGHLY RECOMMENDS that you get thine arse out to the country with a telescope and CHECK THE MOOOOOON! For, THIS, is (something like) what I saw:

CRATERS, Gorgeouses! I saw CRATERS! MOON CRATERS!
And, then…, a cloud rolled in, and our romantic night of moonbeams and geekery was dunzo….
I LOVE space. And, so does Josh-O. WHICH is making me think he and I need to bond over this. Expand our knowledge of space and enrich our relationship with this shared passion! Do you LOVE it?
Yes, Gorgeouses. Space. Telescopes. Moonbeams. Cheaty HIGHLY recommends.
P.S.: The things I do for Space…. We took a flashlight out with us for fear of BEARS (and aliens…I have this little fear of aliens when I’m in the country. Just a little one. Not little alien. Little fear. Btw).

Hey! You were watching my favorite August Outdoor event…
The Perseid Meteor Shower! Happens every year about Mid-August…always right around my Wedding anniversary! (20 Years this year!)
Google it and have a bonding moment with Josho while you contemplate the possibility of 2 decades of marriage!
Very funny… Josho fumbling to find Venus… hehehehe.
