I’m watching The Hills right now. And, you know, I would have SO much more to blog about if I were one of the Hills girls. I mean, stuff HAPPENS to them (whether it’s real or not). Right now, I’m at a bit of a standstill life-wise. Like, the most exciting part of my day today (other than hott Kickboxing Instructor, of course) are The Bachelor AND The Hills finales. And, omigosh, that IS exciting! Which one to watch first!?

As I was saying, life is a little mundane lately. According to my Hip Tranquil Chick Contract, though, I’m supposed to "find inspiration in the mundane." And, I suppose that’s what I do here every day: I take SOMETHING from my mundane day and work my writing mojo. Because sometimes it takes a lo-ho-hot little mojo, a little abracadabra, a little wingardium leviosa! to write something interesting when NOTHING interesting is going on.

Then again, life is, like, totally interesting EVEN if it’s, like, totally mundane. Because, I mean, like, WTF are we DOING here? If you really think about it, even that crumb on your plate, your arm hair, Minden’s nostrils….

…all of it’s freakin’ fascinating…. Easy to forget that.

Sigh, if only I had a sparkly pink wand I believed made magic.

Me: There’s a fairy in your room, Monkey?
Monkey: Yes. He’s on da light.
Me: What does he look like?
Monkey: He has blond hair, like Rascal.
Me: What’s his name?
Monkey: Shako. Shako Kako Kako Kako Kako Kako Kako.
Me: His name is Shako Kako Kako Kako Kako Kako Kako?
Monkey: Yes.
Me: Hmmm….

Alas, I couldn’t see Shako Kako Kako Kako Kako Kako Kako no matter how hard I stared at that light…. When the monkey finally settled to sleep after much negotiation, tantrums, screaming that woke up Rascal grrrrr, I returned to my bedroom, where I am now, lit a calming candle, reflected on what really was just another day, and touched fingertips to keyboard….

Sigh, come to think of it, Gorgeouses, even hottie-hot-hottie Kickboxing Instructor, although hottie-hot-hot, contributed to today’s mundaneness — inSISting on playing this dang song over and over and over again:

As kick-arse as that song might be (did you dance? bop? sing along?), what’s more mundane than Sunday Mornings? Ahem. But, man, can hottie Kick Boxing Instructor MOVE. Gorgeouses, even his SWEAT is hott.

Anyway, SOOO I don’t have the glam life of a Hills girl, I’ve got two MAGICAL little monkeys and THEIR magical worlds to inspire me….

And, of course, there’s Minden. He does magic tricks. You should really check it. He also sparkles in the night….
