Oh, honey, we need our occasional computer fasts! remember my “I hate camping” camping trip this summer? I didn’t realized how much I needed to “disconnect” until I was forced to. Seriously blissful.

Congrats on the new computer! My family (be my family I mean my husband and I) went computer free for a week while on vacation – it was very ummmm… freeing! Our minds were clearer and we talked to each other. We are now plannng on disconnecting almost entirely in the New Year. We no longer want to model twittering, texting and computer surfing to our children. It’s a personal choice we’re making to improve our relationships. It will be interestign to see how long I can go without blogging….

Happy hanukkah Haley!!!!
Congratulatiosn on the new macbook! I SO get how it feels to be without a computer. I sometimes think I should cut internet off at home… but then, I don’t have time to go on the internet most days at work, so, when would I? But, woh, I would get so much done! Would be more attentive to what’s really happening. Maybe see more people. AND save money! I hate internet. But I love it too… Anyways, short, forced computer fasts are great, I’m glad you could have one, especially in the very busy time of year!

It’s because your old one was a Mac. If you had a PC, you’d have no problems at all.

very nice indeed! my son has a macbook for school and i keep calling it mymac and stinkerbell keeps telling me no its a notebook and then rolls her eyes at me.our family computer is old being a beyotch darn thing time for a new one.i really try to limit how much time i spend waste on my computer…

It’s sad how much time we spend on the computer, isn’t it? I love it when I tune out and read a book for hours and hours and hours.
