Those 2012 posters are the least subtle thing ever. The aircraft carrier JFK hitting the white house. Really?

I despise how these commercials are on during family viewing hours. Some of them are so awful and violent. We almost need a commercial rating system in order to lock out the +14 images etc. My husband watches sports on TSN and they have had horror movie ads here and there lately. It drives me nuts. I realize the network needs income from ads but it makes if tough for parents to protect our little ones from these kinds of images and sounds. I wish that the ads were a bit more discreet.

My biggest complaint is the commercials for these horror movies are dropped into Prime Time television. So every once in a while my kids will see one. My 8 year old is super sensitive and gets freaked out. Drives me nuts. .-= Chantal´s last blog ..Grandad =-.

Don’t get too worked up about this movie. I’ve been hearing some people who were able to watch it didn’t like it at all. Because, seriously, if it’s the end of the world, where will those survivors live then?

Keep calm and carry on, my friend. I agree with you, there’s way too much fear mongering, but we need not panic, right? Right?
When I find myself getting anxious about this stuff, I make myself calm down. This swine flu stuff? Made one of my friends so crazy she stopped talking to me. Not even kidding. I wish I were.

OMG! I LOVE The Ugly Truth AND The Proposal too!!!!!! Those movies don’t get you all weird and thinking, but they entertain you, and that’s pretty much what I’m looking for in a movie!!!
And you’re right, when I was a kid, I was pretty much completely unaware of the existence of horror movies and shows. I guess they were not advertised everywhere like they are now…

I am upset too. They’re running ads for terrible movies during kids shows, they run ads for programs on cable channels at all hours…it’s crazy.

The only way to protect our children and ourselves from being bombarded by all this is to shut off the TV all together. Which I’m not too far from doing.

I heard on the radio that kids are so worried about this 2012 crud that they’re killing themselves. Did Hollyweird reallly intend to kill off their source of income? sad.
