I have been reading a few posts on here and have picked up some great info. One thing I have found which works well for a good nights sleep, feeling more relaxed and focused is binaural beats. As strange as they may sound (excuse the pun) they are a very powerful method of relaxation.

Minden sooooo reminds me of Byron. Byron lays on my chest too. I thought it was because he was telling me I was in his spot!

Good luck with that Haley! I don't know how you do it!! I'm taking drastic measures and sleeping in the spare room in the basement tonight just to get 6 uninterrupted hours (with my husband taking over). But we have a four month old who after teasing me with 8 hours of sleep a night for 6 weeks has taken to getting up every 2 to 3 hours. Again, I don't know how you do it! Not getting more than 3 hours (sometime four but it's rare) of sleep in a row for days on end is more than this prairie girl can take!

Well, as Dina said, thank God for kingsize beds!

Although neither of my kids ever slept ON me!

Well, they'll grow up soon enough and won't always want to sleep with you. The boy didn't leave our room until he was 4.5 (when baby sister came along) and the girlie just really started sleeping all night in her own bed about 6 months ago. And all because of the canopy/net from IKEA. $14.99 and a pass to an almost good night's sleep (she still comes to our bed at about 6 AM for a snuggle).

Good luck, Hales...happy T-giving weekend!

This sounds like a night at my house minus the screaming. Julia still sleeps with us and 4 out of 7 nights Lucas will sneak in at some point. I can't wait to move her out of our bed.
Thank God for king size beds!

Good Luck & Happy Thanksgiving!

Girl! I feel your pain. This is my house. Thank GOD for the King size bed. The problem with us is my 20 month old daughter. She wakes up screaming for mommy or daddy every night - we do get the odd night where she doesn't, usually every 8 days or so - this happens as early as 10:30, 1 am or 3 am...on lucky days it's at 6 am and she sleeps on me until 7:30. The only way she goes back to sleep is on top of me! My back, neck and arms all hurt and I am so exhausted, I have a really hard time forming complete thoughts, nevermind sentences - this is so not helping my work sitch. She does't wake up the 4 year old bro every night but sometimes I hear him shout out and he RUNS into my room and climbs into bed. In theory the family bed sounds nice, but let me tell you that I think it's really crappy. Every night when I go to bed (if I'm alone) I pray to God that I will get a full nights sleep or at least 6 hours without a child on top of me or sharing my pillow. There is always a cat in my bed, on top of my legs or at my feet, this I don't mind so much, only sometimes (I have to admit) that I kick her off of me and she just gets right back on. *BIG SIGH*Just know that you're not the only one. I guess we just need to ride it out...
