If it’s any consolation, my son who just turned 5 on Monday, was just like that. The past 6 months were much better, we still have some issues but much improved from this time last year. Yikes!

Ahh..yes. I have a 4 1/2 year old daughter. I laughed at that video, cause, it’s exactly how I feel at the end of the day. It’s exhausting to be consistent with them all day. Be brave, dear Haley. You are not alone! I just remind myself, that I deserve to be respected and make sure I’m instilling that in her. Stay strong!

Oh my gawd- you just described my life.
Right down to the sore tailbone.
What’s up with that anyway??
And Who knew kids could make you look and feel so crap?
(and I only have one- so I should shut-up now)

Four has certainly been a challenge so far- but I must say, things are mellowing a little bit over the past month.
I probably just jinxed myself.
Persistence is an understatement around these parts.

Both my children are strong willed (3 & 8). I bought Dr. James Dobson’s book The Strong-Willed Child a couple of years ago because of my oldest. Parenting is sure a demanding but rewarding job!!!

I wish I could kiss you right now! I was just crying (of course) about how difficult my kids are when NO ONE else in my friend circle seems to have challenging kids. I keep wondering what I did wrong, was it something I ate or did during my pregnancy, etc.? So it’s so nice to know there is someone out there who is going thru the same struggles as me.

It doesn’t help you at all, but it’s nice to know we are not alone! And sadly, my son is approaching 4, so please find an answer before he gets there!

remind me to kiss you at Blogher ok? (and no avoiding me now, lol!)

PS:I’m pregnant again, which has taken me from the brave category to downright insane!!

oh and as for the video and your kid acting like that…if you answer them on the first try, you don’t get so frustrated. If you say no and they continue you say “the answer is no, if you keep asking you get punished.” You may have to follow through on the punishment but once they figure out that you mean business they quit.
