Why am I not blogging today? Or, yesterday? Or, the day before? You ask? Because I’m too busy. I can’t believe it. I’ve never been TOO BUSY to blog. What’s worse (if that’s a bad thing) is that I have SO MUCH to tell you. Here’s a tidbit: 1) GLAM book launch (at which I look entirely too large in photos — but, we all know I have body issues); and, 2) AYURVEDA consultation (during which Indian doctor stuck his fingers UP MY NOSE). More on those later this week. For now…, I have HEADACHE. Dizzy, throbbing, head-splitting headache. WHY? You ask (or not)? Because I spent the entire afternoon/evening at Monkey’s first a dance recital. And Josh is away (wah). So, I had to get both kids ready and out the door for an AFTERNOON/EVENING full of dance dance dance. TWO SHOWS for one little monkey.
I’m SO proud that she got through it…. SO proud that is was HER that the audience was laughing with at because she was making binoculars with her hands — instead of dancing — to try to see us in the audience(!). And, her cheeks have NEVER looked so big. Her hair NEVER so cute and poofy. Oy. I couldn’t take it.
It was during that little number (what, 30 seconds of two ONE-HOUR shows) that I realized my big girl….

…is still such a little little girl….

And, then on the way to the car I realized I lost my keys. See these?

They’re my mother’s set of keys to my house, WHICH I’m now using. MY keys — car AND house keys, EVERYTHING — are somewhere in downtown Toronto. Likely in a sewer grate because I, my exhausted children, my parents and MAJOR PREGGERS sister AND her little boy looked everywhere for my poor keys.
THAT’s why I’m not blogging and have headache today. KEYS! I LOST ALL MY KEYS! Dammit.
LOVE!

there is something going on today. Bad news big and small. But, kids dance recitals, no matter how tedious, can still put a smile on my face.
they’re only keys….it sucks, but it could suck a lot worse.
Hang in there mamma

I feel you pain. Lost my cell phone about a month and a half ago. Seriously I think it is still somewhere in the house but I can’t find it! Got a new one 2 weeks ago. But all my friends numbers are in the old on. UG!
Regarding the headache… could it have something to do with the doctor sticking his finger up our nose? LOL

I keep “loosing” my keys in my pockets. I’ll be wearing a jacket and have the keys in my pants pocket or vice versa! I lost the mailbox key for months because it was in my jacket pocket hanging in the closet. @@
I hope you either find your keys or get them replaced soon. HUGS! I hate that feeling.
congrats on surviving your first recital. My bff’s daughter had a recital this weekend…with extra craziness of having the entire family come to see it. :p Now that the family is going home she gets to finally destress.
and do tell about some “doctor” sticking his finger up your nose!

Oh, no. I feel for you. I thought I’d lost my wallet a few weeks back, and I was sick. SICK, I tell ya! Hope you kick that headache and get a chance to relax, my friend.
Can’t wait to hear about the fingers up the nose thing! I’ve always wanted to see an Ayurvedic physician.

Good for the lil monkey! It all begins with one little dance, of course it steamrolls from there to become 8 routines, 8 outfit/makeup/hair changes – and seasons tickets for 2 to your local NHL team… but the fun they have with it is awesome – the rest doesn’t matter.

Can you believe how quickly the girls have grown up? The bunny just had her first ballet recital on the weekend. I felt so proud and let me tell you, the tears did flow!
