I think a celebration is in order. Bring on the champagne, the glitter, streamers, balloons, and put on your party hats because I went to a movie. SANS KIDS.

WITH HUSBAND.

We were supposed to see the new Indiana Jones movie because we both REEEEEALLY want to see it (I loves me some Harrison Ford and some Cate Blanchett….).

The movie started at 1:10, and we left the house at, ohhhh, 1:05 — by the time we got Josh-O’s parents (who were in from Montreal this weekend) set up with the monkeys. But, we made it, and, miraculously, found great seats in the CROWDED Silvercity theater.

Yes, we were actually on time. Phew! We didn’t even miss a preview!

The first preview came on. It was FABULOUS! TOTALLY a movie I want to see: The Women. Cannot WAIT for that! Meg Ryan’s in it. And, she looks totally adorable — normal lips and everything!

Second preview came on. Again, FABULOUS! TOTALLY a movie I want to see: He’s Just Not That Into You, starring everyone from Jennifer Aniston, to Ben Affleck, Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, and MORE. Cannot WAIT!

THEN. It occurred to me. WOOOOOAAAAAH! What are these previews doing on screen at an INDIANA JONES movie? Waaaait a second. Could it be? Nooooo. Josh-O wouldn’t sacrifice Indiana Jones for…for…

SEX AND THE CITY!!!

Well, HE DID! Yes, my lovely hubby SURPRISED ME. COMPLETELY SURPRISED ME! Oh, and what a great surprise it was!

I would LOVE to post pics and share deets, but I don’t want to give ONE thing away, don’t want to give ONE dress away, one shoe, one purse! Okay, just one more…. Because we’re celebrating….

Aren’t they GORJ!?

Yes, everyone looked FABULOUS. And, the movie? Also FABULOUS. It was PERFECTLY true to the TV series. Felt like one giant episode. And, I got lost in it: I THOUGHT NOT about my little monkey and rascal playing on the floor in my living room with Bubby and Zaidy; I THOUGHT NOT about the dishes in the sink and my unmade bed; I THOUGHT NOT about the FLOOD of orders that came in last night; I THOUGHT NOT about how many calories I’d consumed today; and I THOUGHT NOT about what the heck I’m going to make for dinner tonight…. Yes, I was completely “Carried away….”

Best, best BEST part of the movie? It had to be when we got back to the car, and Josh-O opened the door for me! ME! In my, ahem, signature cat-hair-covered Lululemons and straggly hair, I felt like a LADY. Heh.

Gorgeouses, this is a movie for the romantic. It’s all about L.O.V.E. LOVE. It’s romantic, hilarious, very dark at times, and uber chic, as always. GO FORTH, and enjoy!

LOVE!
