I’ve said this before, so I’ll say it again. I mean, why not? I’m a nice person. Sometimes too nice. And, probably too smiley — to everyone — giving SOME people the WRONG IDEA…, ahem. I like to make people feel comfortable around me. Being warm and approachable and compassionate are definite priorities of mine. Yes, I can be blunt, and I’ll tell you what I think even though it might not be what you want to hear, or it might SHOCK you…. But, overall, I’m nice.
Erm…. Except when people embarrass themselves. I just LOSE IT when people, like, trip and fall, for example…. As long as no one’s hurt, of course. At camp one year? A friend of mine fell down some stairs. And, I thought THAT was funny. But, then, another friend went running after her to see if she was okay, and SHE, too, slid all the way down the stairs! Funniest fall I’ve EVAH seen (not including Beyonce’s below…). I was in hysterics…. And, they were PISSED…. Both of them were scowling at me and showing me their bruised BUTTOCKS. Hee!
Also? This one time? I met one of Josh-O’s colleagues. And, we were walking and talking, and he BANGED RIGHT INTO A POLE. POLE-IN-FACE! It was hilarious. I STILL can’t even hear the guy’s name without breaking into giggles.
As for me…. I really don’t get embarrassed that easily. When something happens to me, I usually laugh and MAKE SURE everyone around me saw or heard what happened. But, I did have one SOOO-NOT-FUNNY embarrassing moment that I hoped and prayed NO ONE saw (even though there was NO WAY anyone around me could have missed it):
It’s high-school orientation day….
I don’t know a SOUL….
And, then….
THEN….
I fall and SLIDE all the way down the stairs…!
ME! Wahhhhhhhhh!
Way to start high school….
Anyway, the most embarrassing moment in the history of embarrassing moments may have occurred this past week at the VMAs. BRITNEY BRITNEY BRITNEY! I seriously think there’s been NOTHING — no performance in the history of performances — that has been THAT big a flop, THAT embarrassing. And, apparently, Britney’s, like, crying and SUPER embarrassed about it…. The closest thing to it would be Ashlee Simpson’s Saturday Night Live debacle. But, other than that? NOTHING. Anyway, it got me thinking about celebrities’ most embarrassing moments both on and off the stage (some of them hysterical, and some not so much)….
Check it! And, if you want a good laugh, watch some of these videos (Beyonce!!!):
1. Britney’s VMA performance….
2. Ashlee Simpson’s Saturday Night Live performance….
3. Jessica Simpson messes up tribute to Dolly Parton….
4. Beyonce falls down stairs during Orlando concert….
5. Beyonce accidentally flashes Toronto audience during concert….
6. Fergie wets her pants in concert (see HERE for deets)….

7. Tom Cruise loving “Kate” on Oprah’s couch (I don’t know who should be most embarrassed: Tom, Katie, Oprah, or the couch)….
8. Paula Abdul’s drunken (or something-en) interview….
9. Paula Abdul’s voicemail meltdown….
10. Winona Ryder shoplifting….

11. Scarlett Johansson trips down Saturday Night Live stairs….
12. Nick Nolte’s infamous mug shot….

13. The Hills‘ Whitney falls down stairs while modeling Oscar dress on Good Morning America….
Do you have any favourite embarrassing moment — of your own or of celebrities?? Do share! We could always use a good laugh!!!

Hey, want gossip? There’s a NEW post up at CHEATY’S CELEBRITY GOSSIP! CHECK IT!

I was going to read your blog, then go to bed. That was thirty minutes ago because I “had” to click and watch every one.
That Britney one makes me cringe. That poor girl! I kind of feel sorry for her.
One time, my brother had me on his shoulders. My sister was chasing him, and he tripped over the curb. He tried to “catch his fall,” but since I was on him, he was top heavy! Of course, I am the one who went down on my head.
Dumb kid, gave me a concussion. All I remember is one kid saying, “What ride did she just get off of?” (We had been at the amusement park). Oh, and I take punching him for making me fall!

Opps, that is suppose to say, my dad punching him….. It’s late!

LOVE these! I could so see myself pulling a Fergie, as embarrasing as that is to admit. After three kids…well, let’s just say that if I was jumping up and down on stage and singing at the top of my lungs, my spot would probably be bigger, lol.

My best …
I used to be a tour guide in Quebec City. I was really confident with the material and the area (so I thought). I was in total tour guide mode in Upper Town (Old Quebec) and telling a story about something. And I was leading the group while walking backwards. VERY IMPRESSIVE.
And then I tripped backwards over one of the old horse hitches and flew backwards over it.
It was HYSTERICAL.
Once everyone realized I was okay except doubled over giggling I turned around and realized that one of my fellow guides and her group had watched the whole thing.
I was totally bruised, but I still laugh thinking about it!
PS Good Thursday Thirteen

I always laugh when some falls or gets hurt – as long as they’re not REALLY hurt. I can’t help it, I just do. I cant watch America’s Funniest Home Videos without practically crying watching some of the accidents.
The Beyonce one on the stairs was HILARIOUS!!
I think you have a thing for people falling on stairs! LOL

That’s some bad stuff. LOL!

I always get embarassment-by-proxy whenever I see anything like this. I end up cringing, hiding behind my fingers, and generally experiencing the overwhelming urge of wanting to die on behalf of the person involved.

Mine wasn’t something I did, but something I said. And it wasn’t as much embarrassing as funny. In college, I was in the Mac computer lab and a friend asked me how to do something, I don’t remember what. The lab was full, but luckily it was all CS majors and I knew everyone. The first step of what to do and what I intended to say was, “Just slip your disk into the slot.” Yes, you guessed it, I said “dick” instead. The whole room busted out laughing. And not only that, I just did it again when I was typing, and had to go back and correct.
Oh wait, the UPS man saw me naked once when I ran out of the shower to grab the kitchen phone and he was at the screen door. That was embarrassing for the both of us, since I still had to get a robe and sign for the package.

Pre-kids, pre-marriage, I was walking to class and spotted some attractive guys. Hey, attractive guys! I made eye contact with lead attractive guy and tripped over the curb, falling right on my face.
Smooooooothly done!

oh my gosh. Somehow the Paula abdul thing had missed me. That was FUNNY/SAD…
in re: to Tom Cruise.. i need to clarify: I don’t like the guy… THAT being said, I think the audience is who should be most embarrassed. Had these women not been screaming like 8 year olds on crack, he wouldn’t have continued acting like a moron to get a reaction out of them. He did something unexpected, they screamed. it stoked his ego…

On my friends first day of high school she was walking down some stairs in our super crowded Courtyard and tumbled down, breaking her foot on the way. Fortunately I haven’t had anything too bad happen(knock on wood), besides just tripping, which I do quite often.

I love when people fall….I almost can’t get enough of it.

Love it! It’s great that the Simpson’s, Beyonce & Paula Abdual make up about half the list.

Wow…this was a good one, and enjoyed it
Did not know that about Fergie though, rough.
The bumping into a pole is quite funny and osrt of happened last weekend, when after dinner with my wife at Kalendar (great place), she was commenting that there were a number of ‘eyes’ on me at the restaurant, so I felt good and started strutting and looking left and right, cool and tripped over a restaurant’s signage in front of a queue, umm the ppl were nice and was lifted up by the patrons, embarrassing to say the least.
btw…my wife then said there were GUYS looking at me, not women – DOH!!! Thinks it’s my new do.
Bourne Ultimatum, rocks

Seriously, the whole ‘inlaws seeing porn’ at my house a few weeks back tops my list right now.
The Fergie/pants wetting thing always makes me so embarrassed for her. My god.

Ha! They were a hoot! I hadn’t heard about Beyonce, though. You think she would have dance-proofed her outfit!

Thanks for all of these – I don’t keep up on my gossip and I only knew of three of them before seeing this post! Sad, but true. I don’t watch much tv, and not all of this is posted on sites I frequent. Well, I guess YOU’VE become my source now!!!
