“Eccentric” can mean a range of things — both positive and negative. I like to think I’m the positive kind of eccentric (yes, some people think I’m eccentric, and I love it). This list fulfills the range of meanings attributed to the word “eccentric.” You have your loveable eccentrics and your repellent eccentrics, and the ones who are kind of in between or beyond. Enjoy!
1. Tom Cruise

2. Björk

3. Michael Jackson

4. Britney Spears

5. Celine Dion

6. Ozzy Osbourne

7. Liza Minelli

8. Johnny Depp

9. Victoria Beckham

10. Anna Nicole Smith

11. Robin Williams

12. Elizabeth Taylor

13. Tyra Banks

There are SO many more celebrities who belong on this list. I leave it to you to complete the list in the comments!

I think Tom, Ozzy, and MJ belong in the repellant eccentric group. One other I would add is Marilyn Manson.
My TT is up also.

I just can’t see why Celine, Brittany or Victoria Beckham would be on a list of eccentrics. They just seem self-centered and absorbed to me, not eccentric.

Thursday Thirteen: There’s a Blog for Almost EVERYTHING!…

It took me almost three days to gather these links, so I hope you’ll find some of them useful
Life with Christ “Life with Christ is all about living your life for God to the fullest. One thing we feel is important is to share you…

Unfortunately, I think Tom Cruise gets a lot of bad stuff published and said about him primarily because he has a mind of his own and he doesn’t allow others to dictate how he lives his life. I respect that. But the rest of the list is pretty dead on with me- Britney Spear’s really needs to learn to wear some underwear so her kids don’t grow up to see their mother’s snatch in old magazines. Gross!

What I want to know is if only some people find you eccentric, who are these people who don’t?
carmen said, January 11th, 2007 at 7:32 am
I’m not sure that ecclectic is the right word.
Maybe we should create a new word for these celebs.

Fantastic list. I’m there with you all the way (and love that you included Bjork! How true!).
I usually like eccentrics, but some of these folk are pushing it a bit even for me.
Happy TT!

Hales,
I’m just barely catching up from all the crazy holiday stuff.
The monkey is walking? Oh, don’t you just love it?!!
Such a totally fun stage and so different for both of you.
The pics of it’sgrandma and whisper are great. I love horses, I wish I could ride more!
No more resolutions, I’m with you there. Resolutions are dumb, why do we wait for a new year to make them anyway? Shouldn’t we be trying to drink less Starbucks everyday?
X’s and O’s, I’ll catch up with you more soon.

LOL…it is funny to read all these comments. I think BS should be taken off that list, she is just the focus of a lot of magazines. Ozzy, heck yeah!!!
s@m said, January 11th, 2007 at 8:34 pm
Um, yeah. Eccentric.
I think Johnny Depp is the only GOOD eccentric on that list. The others, freak. me. out.
Starrlight said, January 11th, 2007 at 9:08 pm
Yes to Johnny Depp. Interestingly enough, Tom Cruise features in my TT this week as well!
Nathalitanis said, January 12th, 2007 at 5:56 am
Johnny Depp and Tyra Banks are ok-eccentric I think. The others are just weird
mamatulip said, January 12th, 2007 at 8:55 am
Woah. I know Elizabeth Taylor is a total superstar and that she’s overcome a lot in her lifetime but damn…when I saw that picture of her, I honestly thought she was a drag queen at first.
Teena in Toronto said, January 12th, 2007 at 11:46 pm
