I've personally dealt with anxiety attacks my whole life. It started when I was just a child and I've had to cope with them since then. I found a solution that has helped me get them done once and for all. I will tell you that it wasn't quick or easy, but after a while I was able to finally get rid of them. I've finally got rid of them and its like I've started a new life not having panic attacks. I also saw a Dr. Oz special a few days ago, sometimes it isn't a panic attack that is the root of the problem, I'd also recommend talking to your doctor. Best of luck!

[...] My mom and step-dad are big on saving money where they can. Really, who’s not wanting to save a penny or two? And they recycle; recycle e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. The Kleenex boxes are broken down and the plastic thingy that hold the tissue is even ripped out. It’s something they are proud of and take rather seriously. I don’t blame them really; it’s excellent practice and I wish that more people (myself included) were so diligent. Even though I was scolded and forced to pull something recyclable out of the garbage and into the corresponding receptacle - disgusting - I still pick and choose what I feel like recycling. I know, Haley-O is on the verge of a heart attack this very moment. [...]

The link between Mind and Social / Environmental-Issues.

The fast-paced, consumerist lifestyle of Industrial Society is causing exponential rise in psychological problems besides destroying the environment. All issues are interlinked. Our Minds cannot be peaceful when attention-spans are down to nanoseconds, microseconds and milliseconds. Our Minds cannot be peaceful if we destroy Nature.

Industrial Society Destroys Mind and Environment.

Subject : In a fast society slow emotions become extinct.
Subject : A thinking mind cannot feel.
Subject : Scientific/ Industrial/ Financial thinking destroys the planet.
Subject : Environment can never be saved as long as cities exist.

Emotion is what we experience during gaps in our thinking.

If there are no gaps there is no emotion.

Today people are thinking all the time and are mistaking thought (words/ language) for emotion.

When society switches-over from physical work (agriculture) to mental work (scientific/ industrial/ financial/ fast visuals/ fast words ) the speed of thinking keeps on accelerating and the gaps between thinking go on decreasing.

There comes a time when there are almost no gaps.

People become incapable of experiencing/ tolerating gaps.

Emotion ends.

Man becomes machine.

A society that speeds up mentally experiences every mental slowing-down as Depression / Anxiety.

A ( travelling )society that speeds up physically experiences every physical slowing-down as Depression / Anxiety.

A society that entertains itself daily experiences every non-entertaining moment as Depression / Anxiety.

FAST VISUALS /WORDS MAKE SLOW EMOTIONS EXTINCT.

SCIENTIFIC /INDUSTRIAL /FINANCIAL THINKING DESTROYS EMOTIONAL CIRCUITS.

A FAST (LARGE) SOCIETY CANNOT FEEL PAIN / REMORSE / EMPATHY.

A FAST (LARGE) SOCIETY WILL ALWAYS BE CRUEL TO ANIMALS/ TREES/ AIR/ WATER/ LAND AND TO ITSELF.

My friend just told me about Al Gore's movie. Is this it? She said Roger Ebert said by not watching it you are punishing your grandkids.

I used to be very earth friendly, now not so much. We recycle and reuse. However I know there is more I could be doing. Thanks for the ideas!

Great post, love it when people bring the enviroment to people minds.

Wow, I'm honestly speechless, Haley. Great post. Thanks for the reminders, we do need them once in a while. It's interesting, since I have become a SAHM, I have become more conscious about things that I do in the house to save energy. I am trying to teach my daughter these things as I do them so that she grows up just doing these things instinctively, like turning off lights if we leave a room, etc.

How about trying not to purchase anything that comes in non-recycleable or non-re-useable plastic packaging.

We're in for the long haul. Cloth diapers, hang clothes to dry, eat low on the food chain, eat local produce wherever possible. Just some of the things we also try to do!

Great list Haley!

Another is -- go vegetarian, or at least begin eating more vegetarian meals. It's astounding how much the animal agriculture industry is harming the earth. But they do it because the demand for animal flesh is so high.
