Yess! I mean, it’s such an honour being a bridesmaid. But, I’ve been doing nothing but wedding stuff for the past several weeks: rehearsal dinner, bridal party lunch, buy stalkings, dress fittings, SHOES, haircut, hairstyle, traffic, awkward silences, gifts, babysitter…. Sigh. But, the wedding was so beautiful! A fantasy of Fall colours, leaves, candles, a delicious menu in which even I (on my “clean” diet) could indulge. The bride was lovely — a princess in her self-designed gown. The groom was more emotional and serious than I’ve ever seen him. And, I ate dinner with a fireman. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding a couple of months after The Baby was born - I look more than slightly portly in all of the photos and OH JOY! all of the other bridesmaids were 25, sleek and gorgeous, even in lavender satin.
