AKA the only British director EVAH to win the Tony Award for Best Director AND Best Choreographer of a Musical (1999). AND, devoted ballet lover that I am, I HAVE to remind you that this five-time Olivier award-winner also created Swan Lake, the world’s longest running ballet production. And, finally, just recently, the dude won London’s Olivier Award for his work on Disney’s Mary Poppins, which has since opened on Broadway. LOVE! Can you tell I’m excited!? And, it takes a whole lot to make me excited about anything these days. [...] [...] And, one more thing. I have always had Les Mis as my fav and dreamed of performing Valjean (ValTool). Rent is a close 2nd and we saw and loved Wicked this spring. I had read the novel and heard the cast reecording, so some changes were pleasant surprises, especially the ending! Been to 7 of yor 13, love them too.
