Hi y’all! I miss you! I’m in Quebec City right now. Wasn’t sure I was going to divulge this information on the internet. But, I thought about it, and, especially since there’s a cop cat-sitting at my house (no, seriously!), I figure it’s aiight.

Since I’m on a vacay, my internet access is limited. But, there are a few things I want to post here in this limited time, so that I don’t forget to tell you about them later! Here goes:

1) Never never never have my sister Dara and I stand together under the chupah at a wedding. We always get the giggles. This time, at my own brother’s wedding, it was the WORST. The bride’s childhood nanny was standing across from Dara and I under the chupah (which is that tentish construct under which Jewish people get married). She’s a tall Irish woman. Anyway, everything was going swimmingly; my sister and I had just one short giggle session (when she told me she felt like she was going to vomit, and I whispered back, “it’s okay, I’ll hold your hair” –heehee…). But then. Oh, then. Sabrina’s nanny swooned, and fainted — crashing into the beautiful backdrop! I’m giggling right now thinking about it! I mean, her eyes rolled back and everything! It was a full swoon! It made Dara and I so nervous that we broke into the most uncontainable giggles. When the nanny sat down and relaxed — and we knew she was fine — we lost it even more! Believe me, the congregation noticed us shaking and hiding our faces. We tried so hard not to make any noise. But, every time one of us giggled a little audibly, the other was set right off. To make matters worse, the photographer was loving it, and snapping away at us — which, of course, made us laugh even harder!

A-ny-way…time is limited right now, time is limited…onward!

2) The wedding was in Montreal. Everyone was talking about what happened at Dawson. For those of you who don’t know, a crazy guy walked into the school (Dawson) armed and started shooting — killing one student and critically injuring several others. He shot himself soon after. It’s very sad in Montreal. The flags are at half mast. There are flowers and candles all around the school. I’ve been haunted by this event all weekend. Our synogogue is right near the school.

3) Quebec City is stunning. I’m very surprised, actually. I mean, everyone told me it’s stunning, but I didn’t know it was this stunning! I feel like I’m in Europe. The city is filled with history, historical buildings, statues, and beautiful architecture, the St. Lawrence River, exquisite art galleries, chique boutiques, and wonderful restaurants. We went to a fab restaurant tonight. I’ll tell you about it later on this week. I have pictures. The monkey had the best time — so much so, that she melted her father’s heart….And we owe it to the accordion man. More on this, with pictures, later this week (tomorrow, if possible).

4) Remind me to tell you about the monkey’s new words! “What’s that” (whahdat), “I want that” (awahdat), “picture” (peejah), “button” (buhdah), and, of course, babblebabblebabblebabble…non-stop. She also does the arm movement for “The Wheels on the Bus,” thanks to Grandma….

I’ll keep bloggin’ here (and at Cheaty’s Celebrity Gossip) but not much time to visit you all as much as I like to! I miss you. I’ll be back in full blogging swing on Monday. My email access is really lousy, too. So, I’ll be back in full touch on Monday.

Be happy, friends! xo Haley-O
